Start on the highest level of Mucinex that you can get, and get a package of it that will last you for at least five days. Take it per the instructions on the packet and drink LOTS of water all the time you're on this over-the-counter medication. Sometimes you have to ask the pharmacist for it, as sometimes they stock it back with the prescription meds, due to theft. You'll be amazed at how quickly this resolves. Works for me!
