Does Cameron really love John?

I watched the season premiere of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles last night. It was the first episode I ever watched and I loved it. I have read about the characters and after seeing the episode there was scene where Cameron says she loves John, but Sarah said that was just a ruse. John has been shown to care about Cameron. Now, I want to know what people think about this. She is a robot and people would say that technically machines can't feel emotion. But remember at the end of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, one of the finest movies ever made, that Sarah said that if a machine could learn to value human life then humans should be able to as well. This could be an indication that he learned to care, and Cameron is programmed to simulate human emotions, and perhaps she does feel something. Also they have never said Cameron's number so perhaps she could be a part of the I Series, which were humans that were given technological enhancements to serve Skynet. Perhaps she is a part of the I Series and has entered her human side emotions. If you don't know or believe the I Series look it up under the Terminator wikipedia template. Cameron may have been lying because of the damage, which does seem very likely. Also, in this continuity John doesn't have to end up with Kate Brewster since The Sarah Connor Chronicles doesn't take place in the same universe as Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines or Terminator Salvation. It is popular belief that the two will end up together, but it is unknown. I honestly think it would be interesting to have the two end up together. I've stated the question, so let's hear what people think on the subject.
