Help with internet and laptop please?

I gave my mum and dad my old laptop (3 years old satellite pro). The have a wireless connection and it says that the strength of that is good so the wireless is working and is enabled. The problem is that when they try to get onto the internet it keeps saying cannot find page. I have tried this also and checked the spelling of the wes addresses etc however still no joy. What could be causing this. Wireless is on and stength is good. I am bamboozled!
