Htc tilt 2 alert/tones how to?

okay i cant seem to set my custom text tones ive tried the .wav doesnt work ive tried putting them on my sd doesnt work and the windows folder wheres tht if its like the my device folder then ive tried tht so someone please help i cant figure it out how do i set my text alerts?
