Is larvitar a good pokemon?

In my heartgold team I have a typhlosion ampharos dragonite gyarados snorlax and ho-oh.....I'm not satisfied with this team should I trade ho-oh or snorlax for larvitar I wanna keep everybody else but I'm not sure about ho-oh n snorlax I know ho-oh is strong but he is a legendary n if I battle anyone I wanna be able to say that all my pokemon were weak n I trained them into es anyway also tell if larvitar is a good pokemon bcuz I know that larvitar is weak against like almost 5 different types n if I do trade my snorlax or ho-oh for larvitar I want it to be worth it n that I didn't do something stupid n trade a good pokemon from my party for sucky pokemon
