Question for GUITAR PLAYERS ONLY!?

So I bought a Made in Korea Strat for $100 bucks and the tone on it is wonderful. The thing is, a lot of the frets above the 13th are all dented and you can't bend and some of them are even sharp (in tone). My question is, should I spend $125+ to get the frets recrowned or buy a Squier neck in good condition? Would there be much tone loss?
