Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act?

My husband is active duty military and we are due to get orders, but we have not gotten them yet. I am a teacher so I am under contract to finish a school year. My question is if I start the school year in August and we get orders before next June does this act cover me from getting penalized for breaking my contract?
